Important reminder
There is no one else in the world just like you.
No one else has your exact combination of gifts and talents and skills,
Your experience, your you-ness.
There are things that you are here to do that no one else can do.
There are things that you are here to do that no one else can do like you.
And we need you.
We need you to shine.
We need you to play a little bigger.
We need to see you.
You need to see you too.
It’s okay that you’re not perfect.
You may look at yourself and see too much and too little at the same time.
Too many things to fix.
Too many pounds to lose.
Too many wrinkles or white hairs.
Too little confidence.
Too little time.
Too little joy.
What if you stopped measuring and realized you’re enough -
Better than enough -
You are exactly the right amount.
You are exactly the right amount of you.
You are exactly the right amount of you to make a difference.
Your arms are the perfect size for hugging your friends.
Your smile is exactly bright enough to share with a stranger.
Your skills are a good fit to solve that problem at work.
Your ideas are what’s needed to make the world a bit better.
It’s time to celebrate you.
Take a few minutes today and write down what you love about yourself.
(If that feels hard, write down what your mom/partner/best friend/dog loves about you.)
Reflect on where you had an impact this past week.
Think of one person you can help moving into this week.

Try incorporating your daily planning into your journaling as the two pair nicely together. Review your schedule for the day. Where do you need to be? When do you need to be there? And then use your journal to explore what you need in order to show up as the best version of yourself. Not excited about your appointments today? What could you do to make them more interesting/fun/enjoyable? Where can you build in fun today? And what would that fun look like?
Pairing planning with journaling can help us be a little more intentional about how we’re spending our time and energy.
