A couple of weeks ago, I was struck with the need to pause, assess, and recalibrate.
I had spent the last seven months leading a wonderfully intensive group journaling program which filled my soul. I loved running it. And yet, the Universe was calling me in a different direction.
I was not happy about it initially. My inner toddler threw a temper tantrum in protest.
But I did it anyway.
I’ve used the last couple of weeks to pause and look inward, doing more meditation and breathwork sessions than I’ve probably done in my life.
I started to get this feeling that the Universe is preparing some big things. And my job is to patiently prepare myself for them.
(I’m not super great at being patient, despite all the practice I’ve had!)
Today things started to fall into place. A long walk at the park trails, followed by a Zoom call with a dear friend, a networking call, and an afternoon in my hammock helped me synthesize these little thought nuggets that’ve been taking up space in my brain.
Here’s my epiphany:
I started talking about journaling as a way to give back to my community, a form of reciprocity for all that I had been learning from them on LinkedIn. This is my gift. And it feels so good to put it into the world.
You see, I truly believe that the world becomes a little better with each of us who picks up our pens and starts to journal. Not because we need another thing on our to-do list, but because journaling is the ultimate tool for living an intentional life.
And I want what I have to offer to be more accessible to more people.
So I’m going to be shimmying my programs and services a bit, taking into consideration all the feedback you’ve given me. (Thank you!)
And I’m starting by offering a gift:
A 7-Day Journaling Challenge starting Monday, June 19.
Each morning you’ll receive an email from me with a journal prompt for the day. When you’ve completed your journaling, reply to the email (if you want) and let me know you did it. I promise to respond to each of your emails, celebrating you!
And, on the 7th day, Sunday, June 25, we’ll gather for a group journaling celebration!

This is only the beginning. Stay tuned to see what else comes out of my pause and recalibration! 💛
Use these prompts as written or as inspiration to uncover what you need in your life this week. And know that I’m always here to support you and answer questions you have along the way!
Where in your life are you called to pause, assess, and recalibrate?
What is your process for reflecting on your life?
Where and when do you do your best thinking?
What is your purpose and how can you lean more into it?
Write about a time when you paused, assessed, and recalibrated, even when you were happy enough with how things were going? What good came out of it?
How can you celebrate yourself for listening to the call of the Universe?
One Journaling Idea I Love:
Collecting Your Data
Journaling is my favorite way to collect data. I record all kinds of things about my life in my journal, but lately I’ve been drawn to collect different types of data:
The weather
The phase of the moon
How much sleep I’ve had
The ways I’m fueling and moving my body
It doesn’t have to be a big production - a simple notation on your page can do it. But tracking data helps me to go back and see patterns.
For example, it’s how I finally figured out that my mental health is tied to sunlight - I really struggle on grey, gloomy days, so I can put supports in place to take care of myself.
And it’s how I’ve identified that my body doesn’t feel good when I eat certain foods, my spending habits align with my moods, and how my energy ebbs and flows with the natural cycles of life.
What piece of data would be interesting for you to collect?
