Can you feel a shift in the energy?
The newness that comes with the back to school season.
The crispness in the air.
The change of seasons.
With the arrival of fall brings with it an opportunity for reflection. To look at where we’ve been. To celebrate the bounty we’ve made happen in our lives this year. To take time to prepare for what lies ahead.
It’s the perfect time to look at our journaling practice, to ask questions like:
Do I have one?
Is it serving me?
Is it robust and flexible and tailored to what I need?
How can I improve my practice so it suits me?
Maybe it’s time to implement a gratitude journaling practice if you haven’t already. To make a regular habit of recognizing and celebrating the good that comes your way.
My favorite way to do this is with three simple questions:
What am I grateful for?
Why am I grateful?
How can I show my gratitude?
Or maybe it’s time to start tracking your progress toward those goals you’ve set for yourself. It may feel like you’re spinning your wheels until you start adding up all your wins on the page.
Perhaps it’s time to be honest with yourself about what you really want in life and what you need to change to make that happen.
Or to capture all of those thoughts, all the great ideas you want to bring to life.
A robust journaling practice can do all of this and more.
You don’t have to do it all every day. But pull out the pieces you need when you need them.
Want some support as you learn to do this? I still have space open in Better You, Better Business, my 8-week group journaling program. It’s designed to give you structure and support as you build your journaling practice so you can find success on your own terms and live a life you don’t want a vacation from.
Registration closes this Friday, September 30. Click HERE to jump on a call with me this week to see if it’s a good fit for you.
Group work not your jam? I’m taking on three new 1:1 clients for the fall and we’ll tailor your practice to be exactly what you need. Click HERE to book a call to discuss your goals!
I can’t wait to hear how journaling is supporting you in creating the life you deserve!
Weekly Journal Prompts:
Use these prompts as written or as inspiration to uncover what you need in your life this week.
What abundance do you have in your life right now?
What’s something unexpected that you are grateful for?
What accomplishments are you proud of?
How have you grown since the beginning of the year?
How can you share your gifts and talents with others?
What are you ready to let go of?
If you could bring anything into the world, what would it be?
One Journaling Idea I Love:
Your Ideal Day
You go to bed knowing tomorrow you have clear schedule and all needed resources at your disposal. How would you spend your day?
What time would you get up? Would you spend your time by yourself? Would you spend time with others? Would you go somewhere? Would you stay home? What would you eat?
Imagine what your ideal day looks like. Write or sketch it in your journal.
What feelings come up for you as you imagine your ideal day?
What came up for you about how you want to spend your time?
How can you incorporate more of this into your everyday life?
